Great bat for training. The handle works as advertised to keep the hands in the correct orientation. This is my son's bat but everyone on the team uses it every now and then in BP - many didn't realize their grip was so tight and overlapped. The bat itself is good enough for regular season play and my son wants one with a round handle for that - I'm not sure if the concern is founded but he is worried about always hitting on the same part of the bat because of the handle shape. Of course that has always been the case for wood bats but the kids are still a bit skeptical.
